AutoCare ("we", "our", or "us") is a free car management app developed by Farhan, available on Google Play for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data when you use the AutoCare mobile application and the website https://theautocareapp.com.

By using AutoCare, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Vehicle details you enter (make, model, year, odometer readings)
• Fuel log entries (date, amount, cost, odometer)
• Expense records (category, amount, description)
• Service and maintenance records
• Name and contact information if you reach out to us via WhatsApp or email

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device type and Android version (for crash reporting and compatibility)
• App usage data and crash logs (anonymous, used to improve stability)
• City/region (if you grant location permission — used only for city-based workshop offers)

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your real-time GPS location continuously
• We do not collect payment card or banking information
• We do not sell your personal data to any third party
• We do not require account registration — the app works without sign-up

We use the information collected to:

• Operate and deliver the core app features (fuel tracking, expenses, reminders)
• Calculate fuel economy (km/L) and expense analytics
• Send in-app service reminders based on odometer or date
• Show city-relevant workshop offers and partner content
• Power the 7 AI car expert modes with relevant context
• Identify and fix bugs and crashes to improve app stability
• Respond to your support inquiries

All vehicle, fuel, and expense data you enter is stored locally on your device. We do not upload this data to our servers without your explicit action. Optional cloud backup (if enabled) stores data in an encrypted form.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

AutoCare may integrate with or rely on the following third-party services:

• Google Play Services — app distribution and in-app updates
• Firebase / Google Analytics — anonymous crash reporting and app analytics
• AI inference providers — to power the AI car expert chat feature (queries are not linked to your identity)

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

AutoCare may request the following Android permissions:

You can revoke any permission at any time from Android Settings → Apps → AutoCare → Permissions.

AutoCare is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

You have the right to:

• Access and export your data (all data is accessible within the app)
• Delete your account and all associated data — see our Account Deletion page
• Withdraw location permission at any time via Android Settings
• Opt out of analytics by uninstalling the app

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
